TAVISTOCK Area Support Services has received a grant from Awards for All to help elderly local people living in isolation. TASS was presented with a total of £4,802. It will use the money to develop new social centres at Princetown and Bere Ferrers over the next 12 months, working with people over 55 who would otherwise be alone within their local communities. Andy Lyle, general manager of the charity, said: ?We are thrilled to get this award. For a charity like ours this is a large sum of money and it means we can further develop services to our vulnerable client group.? The charity works to develop these much needed services throughout West Devon and this money will allow TASS to help even more people.
