THE end of season North Okes U14s tour to Bath was a great success as they kicked off against Corsham, who had four county players and one from England. On a rock hard pitch, we played the best opposition of the year. Okes won a lot of ball and Will Cooper made a break straight through the middle of the park to score. It was end to end rugby. Corhsam's big centre broke through to score twice and at half time the score was 20-19. Tries were scored by Josh Bickley and Luke Liversidge, both converted by Billy Searle. Giles Heard ran in another try and Billy again converted, but Corsham responded with a try and conversion to win 34-26 On Sunday Okes played Walcott RFC. Will Cooper scored two tries and Zac Ponsford converted one in the 12-0 win for North Okes. Callum Pillivant, Angus Mortimore, Patrick Webb, Luke Liversidge and Giles Heard put in a great effort. The second game was against Aldermaston. Luke Liversidge at scrum opened the score. Luke Simmons at fly half had a brilliant game, distributing the ball well. He made a great break and passed to Will Cooper who scored. In the second half Josh Bickley came on to score two tries. Conversions were kicked by Will Cooper, Zac Ponsford and Josh Bickley to make it Aldermaston/Bath 0 North Okes 26. Thanks go to Phil Heard who was called upon to referee an U15s match between Walcott and Aldermaston, medic Ryan Lee, Mr and Mrs John Bickley of Upcott House B&B for sponsoring tour shirts and also to team manager/coach Steve Francis, coach Chris Searle and tour organiser Barry Pillivant.

Tough but rewarding test for North Okes U14s in matches against Corsham, Walcott and Aldermaston.
