Kit Hill Countryside Wardens are inviting members of the public to join them for a day of gorse bashing and burning on Tuesday, October 17. Organisers ask that those taking part wear sturdy boots or wellies and warm clothes. A packed lunch and drink and is also required. The event, which starts at Kit Hill entrance car park (Ordinance Survey position SX 383 713) begins at 10am and should finish by 3pm.
