OKEHAMPTON Simmons Bowling Club celebrated their successes from the past year at their annual general meeting. The league team finished fifth in the Exeter and District league while the A squad won the 71 Shield competition for the second year. In the over 60s league the A team finished third in division three, the B team fifth in division two and the C team gained promotion from division six. Mr Vernon, the president, presented the competition winners and runners-up with their trophies.
