WEST Devon B had a good win at Conservative C this week, denting the latter's ambitions of finishing in the top three.
Con C took the first frame with another solid performance from Ewings who made short work of Gilchrist. Roger Rich then adopted his well practised tactics of 'pinball' snooker to bounce balls in off all pockets against a much bemused Andrews to pull one back for West Devon. John Rich then put West Devon one up with a hard fought encounter with Con C's Craze.
Veteran Moule then made it safe for West Devon with a superb win over Con's C's 'danger man' Bassett, keeping his cool to slot the black in to take the frame and with it the match. Lillicrap pulled a consolation frame back for Con by edging out Bath in another game that no one was able to stamp their authority on.
With only one game left to play this season both Con C and West Devon B will be reflecting on what might have been had either side been able to find more consistency.
