St Martins U12 0

Okehampton Argyle U12 1

ARGYLE travelled away to St Martins for what proved to be a closely fought contest. Argyle found it difficult to adapt to the bouncing ball, but worked hard and had the majority of possession. St Martins defence held strong and by the end of the first half had denied Okehampton every opportunity, finishing at 0-0.

Argyle started the second half strongly and came close to scoring when Ross Voaden put a through ball to Ben Bickle who made a good run and lobbed the ball just over the bar.

Argyle continued to pressure but St Martins defence closed down quickly and they looked dangerous on the counter attack but good solid defending from Ryan Gross Liam Alford Ben Barkwill and Rhys Palmer kept them at bay.

Hard work in the midfield from Bickle and Fogerty gave chances for the attackers to score which eventually paid off when Voaden lost his defenders and scored from a tight angle.

A good team performance capped off by a superb tackle at the end of the game by Gross denied St Martins a shot at goal.

Man of the match Daniel Foggerty.
