Tavistock Ladies FC 1 Dynamo Torquay 6 FACING a team currently third in the division, Tavistock got off to a good start. But in the 30th minute a mistake in defence let Torquay break through and score. Tavistock held Torquay to 1-0 till the half time whistle. In the 55th minute Melanie Bland scored her first goal in her debut match, bringing the score level. Tavistock played well but Torquay pulled another two goals in the 70th and 75th minutes. Tavistock still continued to battle hard with Kirsty Jones dominating the left wing, but Tavistock went down to ten players when cramp ended the game for midfielder Alice McCall. Tavistock, undeterred, carried on playing well, but Torquay took the advantage of a full team and scored their fourth. In the 82nd minute Tavistock suffered their second casualty, when keeper Gemma Russan took a blow to the head and Louise Galway replaced Russan in goal. Down to nine players Tavistock?s legs were getting tired and Torquay took another two goals in the last five minutes. Player of the match: Kirsty Jones.
