Duchy Premier St Mawgan 2 Gunnislake 0 GUNNISLAKE?S recent good run of form and results ended at a blustery St Mawgan. Visiting manager Andy Southcott had to shuffle his pack and picked a starting line up that saw eight positional changes from the team that played the previous fixture. In only the tenth minute a strong tackle on in-form Tom Hall saw the youngster forced to come off in agony. Unfortunately, it was later diagnosed that Hall has suffered a double break in his leg. This setback contributed to Gunnislake struggling to settle and Saints took full advantage to take a 20th minute lead. A strong wind ensured both sides found it difficult to play with any fluency and chances were few and far between before the hosts did create and score from a rare opportunity late on to seal the win. A disappointing day for Gunnislake because of the result but much more so because of the injury to Hall. This Saturday Gunnislake make the short trip to Bere Alston for a Duchy Premier cup tie with a 2pm kick off.
