FIRST South Zeal Scout Group said a fond farewell to two long-standing leaders on July 17 at a special barbecue.

The group held the party to celebrate the contributions of Tina Adams, who stands down from her post as cub scout leader after seven years in the role, and assistant cub and scout leader Vashti Jewell, who is heading off to study at Cardiff University after ten years' involvement with the group.

The duo were joined by friends and group supporters at the scout hut in South Tawton to celebrate.

The barbecue also gave the group the chance to thank the many charity and community groups who have contributed to scout funds, and to present three cubs with their chief scout awards.
