I WOULD like to thank the kind people of Bridestowe, also the police officers, after a car accident at Sourton Cross at midnight on September 18.
My 15-month-old German Shepherd jumped through the Range Rover window after the crash and disappeared down the A30.
Nearly 12 hours after the crash I flagged down Denzil and Shirley Jennings who ran me to a couple of farms, the garage, and finally Bridestowe Post Office where the kind lady owner wrote out a missing dog poster.
A couple of hours later Brenda Hague phoned me at the layby. She had seen the poster and wanted to help. She came to the layby with a flask of tea, biscuits, dog food and water for my other two dogs. She reassured me the dog would turn up, went out looking and informing other dog owners.
Thankfully Buddy, my missing German Shepherd, 20 hours after the crash, just came up to me ? he must have sensed we were going.
I can?t thank Brenda enough and everybody else. There are still a lot of good, kind people around.
