Lynton and Lynmouth 1 Oke Argyle U10s 4 Lynton took a early lead from a powerful long range shot. Argyle rallied hard and were soon back on level terms by Elliot Eavis who dribbled around the keeper to place the ball in the net. Argyle kept up the pressure and the second goal soon came when a good tackle from Rhys Palmer allowed the ball to fall to Jamie Mallet, who shot first time from long range. Ben Bickle made it three with a header from a good cross by Elliott. Good defending and all round play from Ben Barkwill kept the score at 3 - 1 at half time. Okehampton dominated the second half producing a fine team goal starting in their own half; a string of passes ended up with Ben Bickle, who slotted the ball home. Callum Goodwin got things started with a cracking shot in the first minute that threatened to split the net, and followed that up later in the half with another very sweet right-footed volley. In the second half Okehampton continued in the same vein with a couple more great goals from Tom Pengelly and Dan Hornibrook. The opposition did get a late consolation goal with a superb shot that gave goalkeeper Sam Whalley no chance. It was a great team performance but man of the match went to birthday boy Ryan Gross.
