SHEBBEAR College held their inaugural Charity Golf Challenge recently kindly hosted by Okehampton Golf Club. This year the Challenge was to complete 36 holes in a day to raise money for Macmillan Cancer. There was a mixture of people involved this year; the headmaster, teachers, parents and pupils past and present. The group teed off at 9.30pm ready for a golf filled day. The sun was beating down and the ?boys? were playing under hot conditions which obviously affected their golf skills! The younger pupils shone throughout the day, never tiring and impressing the more senior members of the party. In particular, Form 2 pupil Daniel Curtis completed the first 18 holes with a score of 79 gross, -10 with handicap, beating staff and parents! The day was enjoyed by all and the college thanked the captain, secretary and committee of Okehampton Golf Club for hosting the event . It is hoped this can become a regular feature in the College?s fundraising year. l Pictured right are Jake Claridge (Bude) Daniel Curtis (Okehampton) and Charlie Nielson (Okehampton).
