THREE students from Kelly College — James Macfarlane, Georgina Killingbeck and Megan Mackenzie were presented with gold Duke of Edinburgh awards by Sir John Cave Bt DL, the Vice Lord-Lieutenant, at a ceremony in Exeter this month.
James took part in a gruelling tall ships challenge and managed to be the only member of the crew, apart from the captain, that was not sick, Megan spent a wonderful time in Cambodia helping in a local hospital — great training as she is now studying medicine at Imperial College, London, and Georgina Killingbeck now holds the honour of being the first Kelleian to complete the 35, 45, 55 mile Ten Tors, the 125 mile Devizes to Westminster canoe marathon as well as her bronze, silver and gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
