AN auction in aid of Lakeways United Church, North Tawton, raised £1,632 for the historic church?s restoration fund.
This year the church celebrates its 200th anniversary and the small congregation have been fund-raising to carry out a major restoration of the church.
The auction, which took place in the church hall last Saturday, was well attended with a total of 124 lots going under the hammer ? including the barometer being held by Rose Dadds (above).
