POSITIVITY is blossoming at Princetown Pre-school with the introduction of new staff members, new uniforms and plans to extend opening times.
Princetown Pre-school — the highest pre-school in England — has recently welcomed well-known local Cristel Worth to its team of staff. She will join team members Sam Bagnall, Charmaine McDonough, Paula Whiteway and leader Sue Luscombe.
In addition to a new member, the team has also been equipped with a new uniform, bearing a rainbow logo.
Pre-school chair, Karen Parr, said: 'This makes it much easier to identify staff, especially outside the school, and saves their own clothes from getting mucky — the children do enjoy their messy play.'
Plans are also currently underway for the pre-school to extend its opening hours into the afternoons, which is hoped will be a benefit to working parents.
The pre-school has a strong link with Princetown Primary School, and together they will be holding another fundraising bingo session in the half-term to raise money for the schools and the children. Previous bingo sessions have proved very popular with around £200 being raised from each session.
The pre-school is continuing its fundraising efforts with plans underway to hold a black tie ball on November 20. The event will be a chance for people to don their party frocks and dance the night away to live music. The ball will be held in the village centre, open for everyone to attend, and Princetown photographer Mike Kinsey will be photographing everyone in their finery.
