Okehampton 2
OPM A 0
AFTER a great comeback last week Okehampton were hoping to reproduce that form and win against their lesser opponents.
The game started well with Okehampton creating a couple of good chances before taking the lead with a stunningly worked move.
The ball travelled from one side to the other and found James Rogers who produced a lovely ball for Luke Miller to slot home the host's opener. After the goal the game deteriorated and it became very scrappy, with the Old Plymothian and Mannamedians resorting to the long ball and never really threatening.
At half time Okehamptons lead should have been more but was only a single goal. The second half was more of the same with Okehampton forcing the play, attacking down the flanks and forcing the game. Mark Parsons missed a couple of good chances before having a shot cleared off the line. He then turned provider by setting up Simon Bourne who doubled their advantage and killed their opposition.
Bourne then missed and open goal before putting another shot wide and Okehampton continued to dominate. Man of the match Stuart Jarvis had acres of space as the visitors congested the middle of the pitch and his balls from the right looked threatening as Okehampton went for more goals. OPMs did have a man sent off just before the end which just allowed Oke to take their foot off the pedal and see out the win.
l Next week Okehampton travel to PGSOB C.
