Tavistock hockey 1st 0 Dawlish 1 TAVISTOCK were on a high after their former performance the previous week against Hornets. Tavistock were missing many regular first team faces so they had to resort to calling up eight of the second team. The game started of at a high pace with Avyard distributing quick ball to the speedy legs of Kelly up front who had some close chances of scoring. There were also many chances of breaking the lead with some short corner routines that were not working to their full potential. The second half started much the same with both sides coming close to scoring on many occasions. It was not until the last 10 minutes where the more experienced legs of Tavistock started to wither and Dawlish scored from a scramble in the goal mouth to win. This week Tavistock play Bridport at home where they hope to regain the usual faces of the 1st team. Man of the match Neil Bradley (capt).
