Devon & Exeter Senior 1 League Sidmouth Town 0 Okehampton 1st 13 OKEHAMPTON?s unbeaten run extended to 14 matches after this emphatic win. Sidmouth went into this game having just won their last three games, but soon went behind to a superb Argyle opener. Chris Wills picked out Steve Kinsey with a delightful 30-yard pass and Kinsey finished well, stroking the ball into the far corner. Adam Mortimore returned from injury and had a field day, scoring nine goals in total ? taking his tally to 36 for the season ? with some great service from his team mates. Okehampton?s football was a delight to watch and by the interval they were 5-0 up. Sidmouth came out in the second half and tried to restore some pride, but this was not to be. Within minutes of the restart Okehampton won a corner and Robert Sandercock hit a superb ball to the far post where James Williams finished with a great header. Adam Mortimore unselfishly set up Steve Williams for Okehampton?s seventh. Unfortunately the game was stopped for a few minutes when Argyle?s Phillip Evans had to be carried off with ankle ligament damage that is likely to keep him out for several weeks. Stuart Cann came on as a replacement and scored a screamer from 20 yards. Okehampton?s remaining goals were all scored by Adam Mortimore. This week?s fixture should be a real test for Argyle, when they take on a young Clyst Rovers side that are currently in the top four. Kick-off 3pm.
