A GROUP of young people from Ghana spent two days in Calstock as part of an exchange programme.
The Global Xchange group has been in Plymouth for the past three months, offering time and energy as volunteers around the city.
Many of the Ghanaians have never before travelled on a boat or a train. Their trip to Calstock incorporated both, coming from Plymouth to Calstock on board the Gloria and returning to the city by train.
Global Xchange's youth exchange is a six-month programme run by partnership between VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas) and the British Council. It is a learning programme, providing opportunities to young people to be active in their local and global communities.
