THREE West Devon pubs are rated among the finest in the country in the Which? Pub Guide 2004 published today (Thursday.)

The publication celebrates the great British pub and selects the top 1,000 in the country, recognising their welcoming atmosphere.

The guide has also given an award to over 150 pubs where the quality of food is particularly good and these include the Arundell Arms at Lifton, the Dartmoor Inn at Lydford and the Peter Tavy Inn at Peter Tavy.
