IT is strange and very disturbing that Devon County Council has proposed a major cyclist/pedestrian route through the centre of Tavistock without inviting the general public to view and comment upon the plan.
A number of interested parties including the town and borough councils have been invited to do so, but the county notice in the Times (December 13) requires other people to go to Exeter or Okehampton to see the plans.
The town and borough councils and the public library in Tavistock should be provided with copies for the public to see and comment upon.
