MORE than 70 farmers visited Grassland Challenge?s third annual demonstration day at Duchy College last month. The event was held so farmers could catch up with current developments in grass and forage production. Advice was given on the wildlife and environmental scheme seed mixtures, red clover, a white clover and ryegrass demonstration, farmyard manure and slurry nutrients, soil protection and reduced cost weed control in maize. Feedback from the day was positive. One farmer said: ?The arrangements were first class and I was very satisfied with the content of the day and the speakers? knowledge.?
