A LOCAL amateur dramatic group are already well ahead with their preparations for their upcoming pantomime.

The Actors of North Tawton (ANTS) have started rehearsals for their version of Treasure Island, which is scheduled to be performed in February next year.

Mike Thwaites, a founding member of ANTS said: 'We are pulling out all the planks to make sure the audience have a great evening.

'If the laughter and applause from the cast at rehearsals is anything to go by, Treasure Island is set to become another North Tawton success.'

The production promises special effects and all the traditional fun of a winter panto.

Tickets will be available from North Tawton Post Office nearer the performance dates, costing £7 for adults and £4.50 for children.
