FRUIT, flowers, crafts and cookery will be in abundance at the Brentor Village Produce Show, which takes place next month.

The classes are open to residents from the village and surrounding area and are keenly contested.

Refreshments will be available throughout the event, which takes place on Saturday September 3. In addition to the classes, there will be a book stall, bric-a-brac and a tombola, plus traditional games and entertainment.

Proceeds from the show are used to support the village hall and playing field. Profits from previous events have helped to provide new goalposts and nets for the playing field, and a gazebo to be used at village events.

The show takes place from 2pm until 5pm — for more information, go to http://www.brentorvillage.org">www.brentorvillage.org
