HAPPY hoppers are being invited to ask, 'What's up doc?' for the second official National Rabbit Week. Rabbits are the third most popular pet in the UK and National Rabbit Week will run between January 21 and 27. The week is aiming to raise the profile of rabbits as pets and encourage owners to seek the right advice on rabbit nutrition and healthcare. Okeford Veterinary centre in Okehampton will be participating in National Rabbit Week by offering free 'Happy Hopper' health checks. Rabbits will be given comprehensive health checks by one of Okeford's vets. The vets will be focussing on the need for owners to look after their rabbit's teeth as well as promoting general rabbit health. All rabbits will go home with a free sample of rabbit food and owners will receive an informative leaflet about caring for their rabbit.
