A NEW initiative to try and reduce the number of cars on the road is being launched next Wednesday. Tavistock?s car sharing scheme is being launched by Westden?s Climate Change Project ? and the town?s Café Liaison will host the scheme?s ?get-togethers?, so people can meet others interested in car sharing. Geri Laithwaite of Westden said she was really excited about the new initiative. She said: ?There are over 4,000 names on the Devon Car Share website, so it?s obvious people want to share their cars. ?Just imagine how much money is saved by sharing a car ? car sharing is a win-win scenario for everybody and the environment, so spread the word.? The initiative kicks off this Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm and will be held on the first and third Wednesdays every month after at Café Liaison. For more information contact Geri on 01822 617457.
