A CHARITY auction to raise funds for the renovation of the Okehampton Baptist Church kitchen, which is used every day by Rainbow pre-school group, takes place next month.
The auction takes place on Wednesday, June 18, at the White Hart Hotel in Okehampton. The items going under the hammer will be available for viewing between 9am and 5pm on the day, with the auction getting underway at 7pm.
Linda Butt, secretary of Rainbow pre-school, said there were already 175 lots donated by local businesses, including holidays, driving lessons and items given by local BBC television and radio presenters.
Rainbow pre-school meets Monday to Friday at Okehampton Baptist Church, and has around 20 youngsters from Okehampton and the surrounding area regularly attending at present.
