RESIDENTS of West Devon are invited to take part in the ?World?s Biggest Coffee Morning? on September 24.
The event is held each year to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief. Monica Spray decided to organise a morning in Tavistock for the event to ?give something back? to the charity, who were so supportive by providing a nurse when her mother was dying of cancer.
The morning event will take place in the Sunday School room of Tavistock Methodist Church from 10.30am to noon, with a cup of coffee costing £1. There will also be stalls to raise additional funds for the charity.
The Rev Jeff Moles and the Rev Valerie Honey will offer prayers at 11am for those who have cancer or who are friends or relatives of those who do, and to remember those who have died from the disease.
Anyone unable to attend is invited to make a donation to Monica Spray at 15 Mitre Close, Canons Meadow, Tavistock, PL19 8BP.
