IT'S time to don the trainers and get practising for the eighth annual Peter Tavy Plod and Fun Run at the end of August.

Taking place on August 29, the five-mile run will cross moorland tracks and woodland trails while a 1.5 mile run will entertain the younger competitors.

The event is open to all runners with trophies to be won and various categories and spot prizes.

The event will start at 3pm with registration starting at 2pm in Peter Tavy Village Square.
