well known garden writer and broadcaster Sue Fisher is inviting children between the ages of 6 and 11 to join her in becoming garden detectives for a morning at The Garden House, Buckland Monachorum. This special event will be a great opportunity for children to discover the fascinating world of a magical garden and its wildlife. It is strongly advised that children wear their oldest clothes because the serious detective work of hunting for bugs is bound to mean getting down to earth and 'grubby'. The two-hour session aims to be both informative and fun, and will include lots of garden-related games and crafts such as making plant pictures and collages. 'Be a Garden Detective with Sue Fisher' will start at 11am on Sunday June 8. The cost is £3 per child and normal admission applies for accompanying adults. Booking is essential.
