PEOPLE are invited to come and join the Fernworthy Reservoir Conservation work party to clear scrub on Fernworthy's Rhos Pasture.

No specialist skills are required but be prepared for getting fit and probably dirty! Apart from improving one's physical condition, participants can also improve habitat conditions for biodiversity action plan species the Marsh Fritillary butterfly.

Volunteers meet on November 28 at 9.30am in the main car park of Fernworthy Reservoir near Chagford. Grid reference SS 669 839.

The volunteer day will last until 3.30pm so bring a packed lunch and refreshments. Unfortunately the activity and terrain are not appropriate for children or the less-abled. Suitable outdoor work clothes, including waterproofs, sturdy boots or shoes with a good grip and work gloves are necessary. Restroom facilities are located at the main car park.

On this occasion dogs are not permitted.
