WRITERS and photographers launched their new magazine Margins last Saturday in Tavistock?s Bedford Square ? wearing Ascot hats. The magazine, which features short stories and poems inspired by Dartmoor, is written by a community of writers and poets. Joan Cheikh, a writer for the magazine, said: ?We had very funny comments about the hats from Tilly Whims. It was tremendous. ?Plus, it was great to celebrate local writer Enid Gill who started writing when she was ill in her 70s ? an inspiration to people that its never too late to write.? The day saw more than 100 copies of the magazine sold to people from all over West Devon. Joan said some holidaymakers from France and Germany bought copies. Margins is on sale for £2.50 at Tourist Information shops in Tavistock and around Dartmoor, or by emailing Ann Pulsford at [email protected]">[email protected]
