FIVE gardens in Sampford Courtenay will open for a special event in August.

Sampford Courtenay Flower Club has organised the opening of the gardens, all in close proximity to St Andrew's Church, on Monday August 13.

Entrance to the gardens between 2pm and 5pm will be free, with maps available from the church rooms in the Square.

For those who need refreshments, cream teas will be served in the church rooms all afternoon for £2.50 each.
