THE BBC will be filming at The Garden House in Buckland Monachorum today (Thursday), working alongside head gardener Matt Bishop for a piece to be broadcast on BBC2 Gardeners' World on Friday, April 15.

The Garden House has long been one of Gardeners' World presenter Carol Klein's favourite gardens. She says: 'The planting is wonderful. It's developed beautifully over the years and one of the nicest areas is the wild flower meadow.'

The Garden House is renowned for its huge variety of spring plants, which is why the BBC has selected the garden to be a venue for its acclaimed gardening programme. Of particular interest at this time of the year is the collection of historic daffodils as well as the many different Erythroniums (Dog's Tooth Violets) and Primulas.

It is also hoped that the thousands of Snakeshead Fritillaries in the Wild Flower Meadow, an eye-catching annual spring spectacular, will come to their best in time to take on a starring role.
