ON Sunday July 6 a tea party and open gardens event was held in Postbox Lane, Chollacott Lane, Whitchurch, in aid of the Save the Children Fund.

Over 90 people visited the gardens and enjoyed cream teas as well as spending money at the various stalls and playing the many games on offer.

The Tavistock committee of the Save the Children Fund would like to thank all those who helped them with the afternoon - £741.89 was raised. This was an amazing amount and reflects the generosity and hard work of all the people involved.

I WOULD like to thank everyone who helped to make St Peter?s School Summer Fair a success. A magnificent sum of £2,300 was raised.

Particular thanks must go to our raffle sponsors, Mansbridge and Balment, everyone who donated prizes and the fire brigade for bringing their fire engine along

Finally, to all staff, parents, children and everyone else who supported us, thank you very much.
