THERE is a chance later this month to see the changes in a garden created by the BBC?s Ground Force team in Okehampton seven years ago. Back in 1999, Alan Titchmarsh and his team descended on the garden of Pat and Paul Batten at number 22, Simmons Way, Okehampton and worked against the clock to create a fantastic garden to be proud of. On, Sunday, August 27, that same garden will be open to the public in aid of Lupus UK and local sports clubs. The garden will be open from 11am until 4pm, entrance is £2 and there will be plants for sale. For more details or directions please telephone 01837 52397 or 01271 858859. There will be ample parking nearby. Organisers regret no children or pets. There is no wheelchair access.
