Duchy Premier St Dennis 4 Gunnislake 1 THE first half was played at a good pace with both sides looking to attack at all times and playing some good football. The game was end to end and each team had a few good opportunities to score. Jay Richmond made a couple of good saves and Wayne Stephens twice made goal line blocks to deny the hosts. At the other end Jarryd Kelly was the closest to scoring, however by half time the match remained goalless. Saints carried on the same in the second half but Gunnislake lost their way and the hosts took advantage to score three times in the opening 20 minutes. With 15 minutes remaining Shane Maton headed home for the visitors but within two minutes Saints had added their fourth and with that any Gunnislake belief that a fightback could be mounted disintegrated. l Meanwhile two goals in each half at Gunnislake saw Gunnislake reserves defeat Dynamo St Dennis four two. Jason Ridgmont and Mike Fitze both scored twice. l On Saturday both Gunnislake teams play at home. The premier division side entertain Roseland with a 2.30pm kick off while the reserves welcome Tintagel at 5pm. The following Wednesday sees Gunnislake's premier side travel to Millbrook to take on Edgcumbe in a league match, kick-off at 7.30pm.
