Saltash Youth 2

Tavistock Girls U15s 3

TAVISTOCK started with only six players. With fast footwork from Ruth Cole and Monica Les Tavistock were on the attack. There was good passing between Morgan, Corrales and Parsons.

But Saltash went on the attack again and took a shot from the edge of the box to score in the top corner.

Tavistock forced a corner which Rhianne Parsons took and which deflected off Saltash's defender.

A brilliant run from defence by Ruth Cole found Parsons, who took the ball on with a well hit shot to find the back of the net.

Saltash put a hard shot in the bottom of the goal to make the score 2-2.

Good saves by Louise Galway kept Tavistock in the game.

Parsons scored her third goal. Saltash came back looking for an equaliser, but Les and Cole kept them at bay.

Tavistock Girls 1

Lipson Utd 2

TAVISTOCK found the going tough against a determined side. Robynne Honey started the match although feeling unwell, but a general lack of spark showed and Tavistock were soon on the defensive.

The back three of Bryant, Barrett and Page were kept busy but Lipson kept up strong challenges. The speed of Barrett and her tackling were tremendous.

Under the command of Bassett who never stopped running, Tavistock began to get chances on goal and Davey and McMullin teamed up well.

Lipson broke through down the right wing and a goalmouth scramble saw them go ahead.

Tavistock started strongly in the second half with Davies, McMullin and Davey teaming up well. Battling by Bassett set Davey off up the right wing to beat two defenders and wallop the ball in for the equaliser.

Tavistock again attacked hard and play went from end to end but a corner to Lipson shortly before full time was well taken and a striker headed in past Honey.

Tavistock fought hard for the equaliser to take the game into extra time. Bassett broke through the defence but saw her shot just tip the crossbar.

Player of the match: Rebecca McMullin.

This was the girl's last match and manager Sue Hammond thanked them for their commitment and dedication in what has been a tough season.
