AN event for older people to discuss the policy document by Devon Older People's Strategic Partnership Group, is being held in Tavistock on Tuesday July 12.

The Tavistock branch of Senior Council for Devon is working in partnership with the Tavistock and Villages (TaVi) Development Forum to run an event called 'Ageing well in Devon'.

Recognising the important issues of older people, the Devon Older People's Strategic Partnership Group — Devon County Council, NHS Devon and the Senior Council for Devon — produced a policy document 'Ageing Well in Devon' which was published in 2008.

The document, which sets out how the three organisations intend to work together to advance older people's well-being over a three-year period, is now up for review.

The meeting, to be held at the Wharf in Tavistock from 2pm to 4pm, will allow older people in the town and surrounding villages a chance to affect policy for the next three years.
