IN CELEBRATION of ten years of sustainable development funding on Dartmoor, parishes across the national park are being invited to apply for funding to help community projects.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Dartmoor Sustainable Development Fund (DSDF). Since 2002 more than 300 projects have been supported with funding totalling more than £2-million. This has helped source or release an additional £9.5-million in match-funding and has been responsible in creating a wide range of initiatives that have benefited Dartmoor.

To mark the anniversary, Dartmoor National Park Authority has announced details of a Celebrating your Community element of the DSDF. Every parish on Dartmoor can apply for up to £400 for a project that involves the community in some way.

While the project could be the idea of and run by an individual, a residents' group or other organisation, each parish council can only nominate one project for the Celebrating your Community element of the fund.
