IT may be nearing the end of summer, but there is a chance to don the Hawaiian shirts and flip-flops once more at a beach party fundraiser for Hatherleigh Carnival.

The Beach Party and Royalty Evening will boast a hog roast, ram roast, duck race, bar, barbecue and live music from North Tawton rock and blues band Stemroach.

The evening will provide amusements for all ages along with the voting of the 2010 prince and princess and sashing of all 2010 royalty by this year's carnival president Adrian Drew.

The beach party will take place at Island Park, Hatherleigh — opposite the fire station, on September 11 from 6pm. Admission to the party is free.
