DUCHY College at Stoke Climsland is once again hosting a soccer school for boys and girls aged 7-12 during the February half term. The college has seen its half term soccer programmes grow over the past year, with numerous young children from the local community taking part in fun coaching and training, competitions and mini world cup-based tournaments. The two-day course is being run on Monday 14 and Tuesday February 15 from 10am until 3pm. All children regardless of their ability are welcome to attend the course, which will involve skill development, fun games, competitions, and the world cup competition. The cost of the course is £14.00 for both days. The February half term also sees the launch of the Duchy College kids multi sports club. The club has been set up to allow young children from the local community to experience and enjoy a variety of sports. Alan Yendell, sports lecturer said: ?The multi sports club has two main aims, to provide the opportunity for local children to participate in sports and also to promote the importance of being active and taking part in exercise?. The club is being run on Wednesday 16 and Thursday February 17 2005, starting at 10.00am and finishing at 3.00pm. It?s open to boys and girls of all abilities from the ages of 7-12. The cost of the club is £5.00 per day. The day involves taking part in sports such as short tennis, badminton, cricket, tag rugby, basketball, rounders, football, netball, indoor hockey and fun games and competitions. Places are limited for this half term week as the programmes are being run indoors, so early booking is advisable.
