Carlsberg South Western League Callington Town 4 Penzance 1 CALLINGTON roared to a fine victory over Penzance and were full value for this thumping victory. Callington broke the deadlock on 20 minutes when Paul Sowden was grappled to the ground by a Penzance defender and Andy Roberts fired the ball past Paul Williams. Wayne Mouselli?s cross field header beat Williams and went in off the left hand post to double the lead. Two minutes later even the most optimistic of Callington fans were rubbing their eyes in disbelief as the ball fell to Ashley Rowlands some 20 yards out and his low shot found the far corner courtesy of a deflection to give Callington a 3-0 half time lead. With 20 minutes left, Floyd finished off a great run on the right before crossing for Roberts to side foot home his second and Town?s fourth goal. Nick Pugliese finished off a fine solo run for Penzance?s consolation in injury time. Cornish Guardian East Cornwall Premier League Biscovey 6 Callington Town 0 BISCOVEY?S descent to the bottom of the league this season was partly due to an injury list as long as most squads, and so when they got their full contingent back they would start winning games. Unfortunately for a desperately out of sorts Callington Town, it happened on Saturday as the South Cornwall side hit Callington for six. Andrew Butler started the scoring and then went on to complete a hat trick, with Nick Isbell and a brace from Gary Burnard completing the scoring.
