THE atmosphere was positively continental at South Tawton Primary as Year 6 pupils ran a French café at the school.
Each year, the Year 6 pupils visit France to experience the culture there, visit sites to support their history topic and practise French at a market.
To help the children get into the mood, they organised a French café with croissants, French bread, cheese and pate, washed down with coffee. The event was well supported by parents.
Teacher Ceri Hoggins said: 'Once again, the children rose to the occasion, meeting and greeting customers and serving them with great style. It was lots of fun and we are really looking forward to our visit to Lessay, Brittany.
