YOUNGSTERS considering taking up golf may be interested in an offer at Yelverton Golf Club.

Teaching professional Steve Dougan is starting a new junior group on Saturday mornings and will be holding two free, one hour sessions on Saturday, March 13 and 20 starting at 11.30am - it is open to all juniors under 16 who are currently not part of our existing junior groups.

The club have an active junior section with more than 60 juniors, two of which are playing off plus one and two handicaps.

The short course order of merit 2010 will be starting on Saturday, March 6 at 1pm.

This is a great way for all academy juniors to learn the skills needed to tackle the main course in a fun environment and will consist of seven monthly qualifying rounds for the 2010 season. The cost will be £2 for academy juniors.
