FUNDRAISER Ruth Harris from Yelverton is hoping as many people as possible join in her fourth Dartmoor Walk in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust on October 11.
Ruth, a local pilates and Nordic walking instructor, has recently returned from a challenging trek for the charity climbing two of the highest peaks on Mount Olympus in Greece.
Having raised £3,170 from the trek Ruth is hoping to boost that at the October event which is a ten mile circular walk starting and ending in Princetown Car Park. She is appealing to individuals and walking groups to take part to help the lesser known charity she has been supporting for six years.
Six teenagers in the UK are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK and by giving generously people can make a difference. To find out more about the charity go to the website http://www.teenagecancertrust.org">www.teenagecancertrust.org
