Ivybridge Colts 12
Tavistock Colts 26
TAVISTOCK ended their season on a high note with a comprehensive victory over Ivybridge, their fourth consecutive win.
Haig German opened the scoring with a scorching break and did not seem to feel the heat as he knocked over hapless Ivybridge threes all game.
Doug Lloyd at stand off, in his last Colts game, scored two tries with his robust running while making his opposite number?s live a misery as he seemed to win every ball he tackled.
Captain and back row Dan Boreham ended a successful season with a try of his own. Sam Smerdon converted three tries.
Forwards Vince and Wheatley won plenty of ball, with Branfield his usual energetic self. Dan Hayward continued to win lineout ball and Wadland stood out when called on for the second half.
Full back Mike Rowe kicked well for territory. Child, Derges and Bolt shared duties during the game and all contributed. New face John Styring showed pace and tackling skills in defence.
This team is starting to do the basics well every game with the rucking in and out of possession being executed well.
The backs are operating as a unit in both attack and defence and are creating plenty of scoring opportunities as well as letting little through.
