BATS Badminton Club are celebrating the fact that four locally coached players have been called up to play for the Devon County Squad.

After being coached at BATs and Horrabridge Junior Badminton Clubs, playing for the Devon Junior County teams and at BATs Badminton Club, James Cooper, David Harrington, Susie Povey and Frances Ward are now representing Devon at badminton.

At the recent trials they easily outplayed other players already in the squad and were selected to play in the Devon Third team.

In their first match for Devon, James, David and Frances played against the Cornwall Second team and helped Devon come away with the win.
