SINGER and guitarist with 1970s band Herman's Hermits John Gaughan will be appearing at the New Life Church in Okehampton on Tuesday, June 13.
Mr Gaughan turned to religion after fame took its toll and he is now an international Christian singer/songwriter.
The singer reached the very top in the world of popular music by the age of 19 but a dependence on alcohol almost ruined his life.
His aim now is to touch people's lives through his life story and song and bridge the gap between the world and the church.
