PRINCETOWN Football Club celebrated its annual awards evening at the Prince of Wales Inn in the village earlier this month. The Plymouth and West Devon Combination club, which has Saturday and Sunday teams, thanked its main sponsors Dartmoor Brewery and all those involved this season and Shelly at the Prince of Wales. Winners of the awards were clubmen, Simon Beard and Paul Gibbings; Saturday team — most improved, Gary Austin; players' player, Gary Austin; manager's player, Dave Gibbings; top goalscorer, Ryan Smale (21 goals). Sunday team awards — most improved, Mike O'Hare; manager's player, Darren Hammond; players' player, Andy Vallance.
